JV Tournamnent Information 2018
Welcome to Rochester Shoot First 2017. This is an exciting Tournament for the Junior Varsity team members. There’s a full slate of teams and it should be an exciting and rewarding day.

Wrestling starts at 9:30 am
Arrival time for visiting teams is 8:00 am at Rochester Adams High School
Format: We will use the “Fenton format”. All periods will be 1 minute. Wrestlers start in the neutral position for all periods. Regulation scoring for all matches will occur. Wrestlers will be placed in 5 man pools, with 4 matches and a bye for each wrester.
****This tournament is limited to JV and novice wrestlers only. Any wrestler that has participated in 10 or more Varsity matches by the time of the tournament is not eligible for this tournament.
Seeding: There will be no seeding. Wrestlers will be drawn into their respective pools by weight only. There will probably be A, B, and C flights for pool.
Medals: Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place based on criteria.

Coaches Meeting: Coaches should be ready to enter their wrestlers in the tournament by 8:00 a.m. There will be a brief coaches meeting at 9:00 for any scratches / additions. Coaches CAN fax their line-ups on Friday night to the Adams Athletic Office: 248-726-5395
Weigh-in: Home weigh in procedure will be followed (weigh-in should take place beginning at 4:30 p.m. on 1/04/13). Make sure you bring your official weigh-in sheets.
A copy of your alpha weigh-in sheet is also required.
Locker Rooms: Like all other sites around the state, the care of the locker room area is left up to the coaches and their teams. Wrestlers will have to bring their own locks and towels. We ask that you remind your teams that keeping your area clean is important. Please No Food or Drink in the locker rooms. Thank you in advance for your consideration in helping us to keep this facility in a condition we are all proud of
Food: A concession stand will be open from 8:30 to the end of the tournament with a wide variety of healthy products. Teams that bring their own food must leave food in the commons where tables will be set up. No food will be allowed in the gym or in the locker rooms. Your assistance in helping us in this will be greatly appreciated.
